Ulthera Inc., a Mesa, AZ-based spinoff of Guided Therapy, has developed a device that it maintains can be used to treat everything from sagging skin to certain types of cancer. The company gained Food and Drug Administration approval in September to market the device for cosmetic treatments and is building its sales staff to market the device to cosmetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
